Submitting Your Slide Deck (LIVE In Person Speakers)

All Live IN PERSON speakers must submit their slide decks by March 25th, 2025. This ensures your presentation meets accessibility and formatting requirements.

Submitting Your Pre-Recorded Presentation

If you’re submitting a pre-recorded presentation, please upload your final video by March 10th, 2025, using the link below. This ensures we have enough time to review and prepare your session for the event.

Day-of Logistics for In-Person Speakers

If you are presenting live and in person at the 5th Annual Autism in Black Conference, here’s what you need to know:

• Arrival Time:
  Please report to the backstage area 30 minutes before your scheduled session time. This allows our AV team to mic you up and ensure everything is ready for your presentation.
• Backstage Preparation:
  Once backstage, our team will assist you with final preparations, including sound checks and queuing you to go on stage. Your presentation slides will be visible to you on stage to support your delivery.
• Session Timing:
  Stick to your allocated time to ensure the event schedule remains on track. A session timer will be visible from the stage to help you manage your time.
• Professional Appearance:
  Wear attire that reflects the professionalism and inclusivity of the event. Ensure any accessories, such as lapel mics, are easily attachable.

   Please look under your desginated section as live speakers and pre recorded speakers have different dates
3. Are there specific formatting requirements for my presentation?
   Yes, to ensure accessibility, please follow these guidelines:

• Font Size: Minimum 24pt.
• High-contrast color schemes for better readability.
• Alt text for all images and visuals.

4. Do I need to use a Zoom background during my session?
   Yes, we encourage all speakers to use the official Autism in Black Zoom backgrounds to maintain a cohesive and professional look. You can download the backgrounds here.
5. What are my responsibilities for promoting the event?
