Autism in Black is a neurodivergent-led organization uniquely dedicated to serving the Black autistic community. We go beyond general advocacy—our lived experience allows us to bridge the gap between awareness and action, providing culturally responsive education, empowerment, and support that reduces harm.
When you work with us, you’re not just getting expertise—you’re partnering with an organization that deeply understands the unique challenges of Black autistic individuals and their families. No one delivers the level of impact, care, and authenticity that we do.
Maria Davis-Pierre is the Founder and CEO of Autism in Black Inc. This organization aims to bring awareness to Autism and reduce the stigma associated with the diagnosis in the Black community. As a licensed therapist, Maria primarily works with parents to provide support through education and advocacy training. Her passion for working in the field stems from her personal journey when her daughter received the diagnosis at a very early age.

IEP Review
Recieve a full review of your Child’s IEP AND detailed report that goes over recommendations and suggestions.
IEP Parent Advocacy Session
Maria Davis-Pierre, LMHC will sit in (by phone or in-person if local) on your Child’s IEP meeting for support.
